GREYSTONE COTTAGE

Our first property renovation in the Caribbean was Greystone Cottage in Mustique. We fell in love with its castellations, knobbly stones and quaint, almost Beatrix Potter windows and thought we could create a little piece of England in this altogether more exotic setting. We decided to purchase this derelict property and lovingly restored it to a beautiful three-bedroom home.

The experience of the hands-on renovation and interior design for this lovely cottage armed us with a unique understanding of both the challenges and the resourcefulness needed to successfully complete such an undertaking in the Caribbean.

Our knowledge of where to find the wonderful local artisan artifacts and accessories allowed us to truly reflect the Caribbean vibe we set out to create. It was a

joy to work with a colour palette that perfectly mirrored the aquamarine waters of Britannia Bay and the vibrant sunsets of this magical island.

This beautiful home has now been handed over to the new owners who have gone on their own journey with this special property, putting the same passion and love into further developing its beauty.

Outdoor living and dining –
the hallmark of a Mustique experience

This delightfully relaxed Mustique home with stonework facades and castle-like turret was originally designed by one of the foremost architects on the island. When renovating and re-designing the interiors, we retained the character of this quaint property whilst injecting a contemporary twist with stunning shades of turquoise, white and lilac to mirror the stunning views of the aquamarine Britannia Bay.

Outdoor Living

A spacious living room and open-plan kitchen led out to the extensive veranda, beautifully furnished with comfy sofas, small seating areas for quiet contemplation and a separate dining area – perfect for entertaining.

Alfresco Dining

Making the most of the stunning views, we created a spacious pool deck, complete with loungers and a colonial-style poolside gazebo for alfresco breakfasts and lunches.

Enjoying the Sunset

The sun loungers were strategically placed to make the most of the last of the evening rays, beckoning guests to enjoy a sunset cocktail or two.

The poolside barbeque was a special feature ideal for outdoor gatherings where guests could enjoy the very best of Caribbean cuisine. For family gatherings and fun times, a special, open-air room featured a full-size pool table and games such as backgammon, chess and cards. The rooftop veranda offered a perfect setting for sundowners or for quiet moments in peace and tranquillity, you could head for the secret patio featuring a beautiful love-seat with views of the Bay.

Spectacular Tropical Gardens Boasting the Freshest Produce

Michelin trained chef owner, Kevin Snook, wanted the gardens to contain as much produce as possible to arm his kitchen with the freshest local ingredients right on his doorstep – the very essence of ‘field to fork’.
